I know a lot of people on this section like Takashi Amano's tanks (so do I), so here are a couple of websites in which he explains his compositions and layout. Hopefully this will help some people improve their aquascape (such as smoothing out the substrate at the front of the tank and never, ever planting a tall plant near the front of the tank; two definite rules of his).

Layout Making Manual (this is broken into separate pages all in Adobe .pdf format, so you'll need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer)

Very Interesting Walter, Thanks for sharing.

This is the first time my eye was centered on the aquascape, rather than the inhabitants.

Thanks Wahter some good points. Strange as it may seem I never like my substrate smooth oreven at the front of the tank but thats just me and I am no Amano. thanks Ed
