Hey Guys,

I was wondering if the darkened shade of tannin stained water effects testing results?

Thanks

Dunno that it changes test results per se, but it may change your perception of them... like with a blue/green/yellow pH test, you may need to compensate for the yellowness of the water...

I did just that when I peat-filtered my water years ago... it was pretty much de rigeur for discus keepers back then...

That is what I was talking about, I will be using peat, and One of my tests uses a green liquid.

Fill a test vial with tank water and then place it against a white sheet of paper, how much shading is there? Compensate from thee on the test...I doubt that there will be much difference
