Discus from breeder to my house

Today i'll be obtaining some discus from a breeder. To arrive home it will take me around 25min. I've read somewhere that when traveling with fish they should be covered with something dark as it will help reduce some stress. Is this true?

I mean you can but 25 minutes, just don't juggle the bag like some oranges.

Moving fish locally, I've been using a plastic ice chest, packing any empty space with old towels or packing peanuts. Nice and dark, maintains temperature, too...

Recently moved a large pleco from Denver to Co Springs- No bag for him- huge spines dictated cooler/ water/ fish and nothing else. Taped the lid shut, and it all worked out...
