Got some L46 at last want some back in the days when I was about 15 or so when they were cheap but didn't had the money, but now I got some in my tank. Angel and I took a little road trip to pickup some goodies just as good as discus. Enjoy just some picture of them before going into the tanks pictures look a bit weird, because of the air pump moving the water. I will take better pictures later on when tank is better to look at by then maybe I won't be able to find them.

Looking real good John, I'm glad they are doing well. It was such a great road trip, and nice to see a healthy L46 breeding colony. Too bad you snagged all the big ones, im going to have to wait a while till i get mine.

Hmm, you know what I'm think I might want to take the rest if we do go again. Hehe going to take a while before they get ready to breed. Thanks Again. We should do road trips more often :)

Very nice John, was looking for a group of those for myself but can't afford them. A friend of mine has a 165 gallon thank with 43 of them (2 years now)
He allowed me to see them, hands in my pockets and 2' distance to the tank :D :D :D

Chad, just say I spend good money on them :p. Thanks, I had this Half Moon Betta, back in the days when I was messing around with them, don't keep anymore. Hans, I'm sure you can get some off of him. Happen to have any pictures of his l46 tank?

John,

I think it's easier to ask him his wife for a night as getting 1 of his Zebra's out of that tank :D :D :D :D

Tank no pictures, 6' long fully planted, driftwood, caves you wouldn't see 1 zebra if you make a picture (or he wouldn't never miss half of them if I would take them out off the tank lol)

Yea Ashay,

Come have a fish adventure with us! John's L46's are nice, i was almost tempted to get some, but all i have is discus tanks..that would have made a very expensive meal for some discus.

Still working on the tank on the back of them driftwood there is a 2 tier slate which you cant really see, will be adding caves as they mature and more driftwood to be add. Guy told me they do best at full cover and his tanks if full of slate and driftwood and caves. With 11 breeders and X amount of fry you can only spot 2 or 3 in caves and others you cant find them. Still waiting on my filter and supplies to come. Angel man you need to get some. Pictures of the tank. More work need to be done.

You're becoming an L46 interior decorator, i love what you've done with the tank. I see you added some more lights too. I'm still debating the whole L46 thing, the reason why i love my discus is they come right out to meet you, and display themselves all the time. With the L46 its a little like watching a flea circus, gotta take a flashlight to find them critters hiding in the caves and driftwood. Although i admit they are cute and the idea is growing on me.

They really like the tetramin tropical tablets, flakes, shrimp pellets. I dont really see them eatting during the day time so I feed them before i go to bed.

those are super nice! they are real slick and cool lookin, I like them alot. I have been thinking lately of adding some nice, exotic cleaning crew to my tanks, but IDK yet. I have done well with corys. maybe some albino corys for my albino tank? or albino pleco? BNs?? IDK. gotta do some research. we'll see :p

Hmm, L046 will make tasty and costly food for discus. They are meat eaters they dont clean algae off of tanks. If you want a cleaning ple*o that is hardly, I will go for sailfin ple*o, make sure they do get some food as well too. They do get a big so, and some do get aggressive when eating. But I don't think you should do L46 with discus. Maybe adult ones in a tank with with lots of hiding spaces.
