Hi Ms.D, Don't know. :)
Do they both have it, or just one. Can't really tell from the pictures. Doesn't matter though, they are beautiful fish and I'd definitely have them in my tanks at home. ;)
Take care,
Eddie

A couple of the female's hard rays aren't quite as long as they could be. Perhaps it's genetic. Perhaps it's not.

Show me an award-winning fish. I'll show you his flaws. ;)
I was just asking is it movement or the fin?

Hi Barb and thanks, the shipment had an apparent parasite problem. I spread it to my other tanks because I used the same hose and pump to fill the 125 gallon quarantine tank. I only have one pump. Everything else was separate, including hose for draining, and I made such an effort to keep the end of the hose out of the quarantine water but I managed to spread it anyway. It was awful. I lost my much-awaited batch of bss fry and the female, and several others. There was fin damage on some, so I don't know if the sapphires' hard rays were affected. Thanks to Paul's (pcsb23) never-ending patience, support and advice, I was able to save most of them. The supplier sent some replacements but these too had health issues. Dan posted some much-appreciated support. :)

Gee, what a story! Glad to hear you finally got things under control. I sure am glad to have gotten the help so far that SD has given me. Great place to come to read and learn!

Well, well, well, talk of blue sapphire fry and look who pops in! :D
The last batch was infertile but there's a bit of shaking going on. I think they'll have it down before too long. :)

Thanks again guys. Let me add Eric of Carolina Discus had some homegrowns he was selling about a month ago for an excellent price. I doubt I will be shipping for quite some time, but I know Eric does.

Yeah, I got a dozen of them from 2 different spawns hoping to get a pair or two. They were tiny when I got them, but they are growing fast.
