Out of about 50-60 eggs i am only getting 2-3 wigglers each time. All the other eggs turn white. Seems like the male is doing his thing. I am also turning off the air flow and that does not help. Any ideas?

the femal is about 15 months old and the male is about 3 yrs old. 82 degrees is the water temp. I'm using all R/O water.

Are you adding an anti-fungal agent such as Meth Blue or formalin? Also keep the tank spottless, wipe down the inside walls and bottom frequently

I know you said you are using all RO water, but what is the RO parameters reading? Is it an old membrane. That is a hatch I would get and expect in hard tap water. Theoretically, everything sounds right to get a much better hatch rate. If your RO unit is not working properly, you will get unsatisfactory results with breeding...Bill

If the eggs aren't fungus and are white, they're not fertile, using a cone?
Maybe male's not getting good runs... or maybe the male is inexperienced? That's a small yield

The most they had at 1 time was about 15 and that was months ago. I will test my r/o water paramiters to see what they are. breeding cone is very clean.
