Hi simply friends. I have four wilds that I am selling to make room for some new albinos. I have listed the fish on ebay, and here are the links.

EDITED - Hi, I am updating for two reasons:
1) To say that I'd be willing to trade for albino breeds or other really claen interesting fish
2) to add some pictures in the post. Please see further down in the thread.

Please call me with any questions 973 449 3110 thx, ant

the fish are a royal green, heckel, jurua, and a tefe green. they are all huge with the smallest being the tefe at about 5-5.5" and the largest he royal green at 6"+. i have not measured them but can tell you that they are big and thick!

they are eating some flake and tetra bits, but really going after frozen mysis, brine, and bloodworms. i don't feed beefheart, so can't talk to their preference.

The ebay links have pictures. if you would like additional pictures or wnat to come by and see them, you are welcome to do so. i live in florham park, nj. (morris county NJ.)

EDITED - ebay auctions are over....

I do not have any shipping experience, and don't want to learn on these big guys, so am offering only as local pick up. :-)

Hi there... Nice looking fish... If I was closer they might have a new home. Good luck with the sale.. I suggest you might have better luck on Aquabid than ebay.. HTH Sue:D

Hi Sue, yes, thanks for the reply. Georgia would be a long drive! :-)

I will list them on aquabid if I can not find a good home via ebay. I have bought on aquabid but never listed. May try tomorrow. Also will try posting a few pics in this thread as I think the visual of the fish says a lot! (Have never posted pics here on simply - another new thing! :-))

thx again for the post!

Nice looking discus!
Are they all currently in the same tank?
I live in south Jersey & the drive is no big thing-was in Cranford this morning!
What is your expected price-I'm sure the 80$ reserve total may be misleading to some folks.
What is the tank Ph thes discus are living in?
Do you currently try to drive it low being Wilds?-definately not interested in that headache!
You can just PM here if you like,
Rob

Hi Rob, thanks for the reply. I am from South Jersey originally - Gloucester County. Exit 2/3 off of the NJTP! :-)

Are they all currently in the same tank?
Yes, they are in the same tank - a 55.

I paid $60 each for three of the fish and $150 for the Royal Green. I did not have a hard number, to be honest, simply trying to get close to my money back, give them a good home, and offer a solid price for simply members.

What is the tank Ph these discus are living in?
The ph is right about 7.

Do you currently try to drive it low being Wilds?
No, just try to keep it stable. I use mostly RO with a little tap thrown in. My tap up here is north of 8.5 or so with a TDS about 350. I had planted tanks, thus the need for RO. Keeping anything other than africans in tap water up here is very tough. I use mostly RO in all of my tanks - even my kids's little eclipses in their rooms. (No discus in those, :-) )

My next stop is lisitng on aquabid, but my preference is to try to find them a good home with this post as well as the eby listing (lower expectations on that). So I am a motivated seller, so to speak! :-)

Rob, please give me a call if you'd like to discuss or make plans for a drive up here. Liek most members here, I enjoy talking shop!

thx,
ant

I can take them from you - I'm in Perth Amboy. Long as the fish are healthy I'm good for the buy.

Tito

I will call you.
