I have 2x2' area to work with... how big should the tank be. I want to stack them. so I'm looking for ideas... when i was out visiting IEP discus he had 2x4 just screwed on. I can make a metal frame but i need to know how much each tank weigh with water ... lol

Are you talking about glass or acrylic tanks? Each gallon of water is about 8.33 lbs. I wouldn't use anything smaller than a 24x12x16 20gal tank (166lbs of water) and a 30x12x18 30 gallon (250lbs of water) is probably better. One type of tank you could consider is a 20x20x20 cube tank which is about 35gal. I think Kenny has used the cube tanks for breeding before.

I personally use 17x16x17 breeding tanks and have no problems with them. I'm using them right now.
