OK...but I am going to do 2 more tanks the same way.

I was wondering why I could not use 2 sponges and 2 hob and when it had cycled I would be able to use the extra sponge and hob on a different aquaruim.

Will this work?

To many sponsers to mess with LFS, well...mine was 4 hours away, and some sponsers have fish I MUST have LOL....cheap!

...yes D...it will work...:)...keeping extras in your tank, or seperately cycling in a bucket will keep you ahead with your media...some meds will kill the filter, so having extras ready is a good thing...

Now...that being said is...how do you keep extra media alive in well if not in an old tank?

I had mine in a bucket with heat and an airstone and thought....*this* cant be right...

.....a bucket is fine....use just about anything you want....just make sure the heater doesn't touch the sides if it is a plastic "vessel".....and it doesn't have to be huge either....
