white prorusion from cardenal tetra

I have a new well after 2 weeks in QT tetra one of 25 that has a white worm looking thing coming out of the side of the fish. Its breathing rate is up and its belly is a bit swollen. My discus have had this before and they just go away on their own. I am worried however as I have 8 young discus and its a new ish aquarium it is fully cycled. I am sure you can imagine how hard it is to take a photo but here it is...

just in case you are trying to find the white worm thing its in the middle of the fish

Well can't really see much from the photo, but I'd cull it. 2 weeks of QT should've been longer, minimum of 4 weeks but 6 weeks even better. Some things take a longer time to show up.

i was thinking of that and now i cant find the one with it. they dont hold still long enough!!!!
