Hi

I have a very small batch of free swimmers. They are coming up to 4 weeks since first spotted swimming around.

Their birth was a surprise & they are in a half filled 74G tank. I have a smaller tank (new) that I could set up for them. If I take the sponge filter from their existing tank, put that into the brand new tank - is it then safe to move the babies? There will be no other filtration in the new tank.

That sounds exactly like what I've done in the past, shouldn't be a problem.

Keep us posted,
Jess

Oh, and use the original tank's water to fill the new tank.

Thanks guys. My camera sucks for taking pictures of moving little fish. These babies are in constant motion & they are just a blur in any picture I try to take. If I ever get a decent one, I'll post it up for sure.

All 10 present & accounted for Aunty Rox. I still haven't moved them, as the tank on the rack isn't ready yet :(
