I have used Algone in the past and have not seen any great change in water quality. My theroy is that us discus types keep our tanks alot cleaner then the average hobbiest so there is no great change to be made. Maybe if I quit doing WC's for a while...Hmmmmmmm

I attemted to paste the link, but it has been sent to the moderator. If you google algone, you will fine that their site is the same as the product name. your question is good, considering that they won't tell anyone exactly what is in their product.

I don't add unknown chemicals to my tank. In fact, I only add Prime to my tank. I maintain water quality and clarity through elbow grease and wc. But that's just me.

that's my thoughts on the whole thing! Just do wc's and keep your water freah.

It sounds like it's similar to Seachem Purigen which I use a pouch of in my filter. Works GREAT.

Before I used it I thought my water was clear. I was wrong. Afterwards the fish appears to be flying the water was so cystal clear. Great stuff. Not snake oil, not a chemical added to the water either.
