He!! I thought it was illegal to sell them? Would make a great pet though... NOT! What does someone do with them once they get bigger? I guess they could eat it.

It would!

When I took an Everglades trip, I held a gator, he was 3 ft. long. Once they get bigger than that they said they're considered too dangerous for people to be holding and are turned loose and they start over with a smaller gator again. He was actually kind of cute and not aggressive.

For sure! When I lived in coastal South Carolina, a gator ate the neighbor's yappy Pomeranian. The dog was yapping at the edge of the lake, and a gator jumped up out of the water and took the dog under in front of several people.

When I was a kid living in Tucson, AZ my grandparents friends lived next to a guy who had one. We would go down the block to their house and look over the wall. What we saw was an 8 foot alligator or croc, I dont know which one. It was housed in a pen that it couldnt even turn around in. It gets to 110 degrees every summer there too. Not the greatest living conditions. I wonder what they fed it? Neighborhood cats? I wonder what would have happened if it ever decided to take its frustrations out on its owner. Not a good idea.
Here in Phoenix, people take them to golf course ponds to get rid of them when they get too big. Im not a golfer but I can imagine that it would put a damper on your day if your ball ended up next to the water and you went there to hit it while a hungry alligator was lurking in the pond with you in its sights. The one on e-bay should be taken back to where it lives in the wild.

Just selling this animal on ebay is cruelty to animals/reptiles...whatever. You cannot provide the best lifestyle for a reptile that big. They belong in the wild and the owner needs to get a real job to make money instead of hawking wild animals on ebay IMHO .
