What causes a discus' poo to look like a yellow string about 1" long?
Thanks,

This could be capillaria or an internal bacterial infection.
If I see this I look at it under the microscope to look for capillaria.

He's been fed color bits, brine shrimp and blood worms. His poo is not normal for these types of food.

Pat, if the has not been eating, the poo can look as you described. So if you have not seen him eat, he probably hasn't been. You can't just toss some food in the tank and watch him eat something:confused:

levamisole treatment will clear capillaria, then if it persists use kanamyacin.
