After asking some questions and doing a little research I decided to change my substrate from black eco complete to pool filter sand. I thought that a before and after would be good, but in HD video would be better.... Enjoy

After:

The results were amazing.

Dont forget to click on the HD button.

looks much better. did you just put the sand in there or did you keep some of the old substrate mixed in?

I did the same to my discus tank and my fish changed colors from dark to light within seconds of removing the black paint on the bottom and spraying tan paint right away, all done carefully with fish in water, air pump well covered and window wide open next to tank. It was an amazing change and so fast. Your tank looks just great!

Thank you everyone, They are looking even better now that a few days have passed. I did have to mix in a little of the eco complete due to the fact i couldnt get all of it out. The black background does do a good job contrasting their color so i think i might keep it black for a while. Thank you for looking.
