I would like to know if it is safe to treat for hexamita adding metro into the water and, at the same time, giving the fish medicated food (medicated with metro too)?

Sure is, very effective way IMO.

Yes it is. If the fish will eat the Metro food that is great to use with Metro treatment. Also add 2 tbsp. of Epsom Salt to the water for the first 2 days when treating with Metro since it helps to clean them out.

Thanks Eddie!

BTW, I saw you Leopard. After all that he has gone through, there is no doubt he's a champion already!!

Now, about the treatment,

I imagined doing it both ways was better but I think that instead of dosing twice a day with metro into the water I should probably administer one dose into the water and feed medicated food twice a day.

What do you think?

Thanks Connie, I'll do that!

Well I'm not Eddie :D but I would still dose twice a day since you don't know how much med the fish will be taking in with the food. Metro is very hard to overdose.

As Connie said ;)

No problem Connie, I wrote that before seeing your reply:) Then I will proceed doing both things twice a day.

BTW, the water temperature is 92. Is this okay for the treatment?

I am not Connie but perfect temp. :D

Just add air to the tank as dissolved o2 levels are lower at higher temps.

that should be 2 tbsp of salt per 10g of water just to clarify

furthermore...only replace the amount of salt you have taken out. i.e. if you use 2 tbsp of salt and change 5 gallons you will only need 1 tbsp when doing a WC.
