I'm going to add two, of either of the following light fixtures, in addition to my current lighting which consists of a dual 250 watt 6700K DE halides with 14K T5 flourescent pendant fixture.
I'm just not sure which one would be best and could use some input. Also, what coloration combo would look best for blue diamonds and snow whites? I'm assuming 10K but would like actual experienced input.
First one: Sold by BigAlsOnline.com; Cheaper of the two, uses 2 x 28 watt bulbs. Name brand bulbs and fixture. These are slimmer fixtures and will fit better in my floating canopy. Not sure the 2 x 28 watt bulbs will be enough over the tank though? $140 shipped.

Second one: Sold by 'FishNeedit.com'; More expensive fixture but it houses more powerful 2 x 54 watt bulbs. Don't know the name brand of the fixture or the bulbs. A wider fixture and may be a tight fit in my floating canopy. $173 shipped.

Either will be ordered with one 10K bulb and one pink bulb (colormax type), or maybe just both 10K?
Would the combination of my existing 14K (blue) bulb, the 10K bulb, and the pink bulb, provide adequate and pleasing coloration over my 240 cube when the halides are off?
I plan on running the 6700K halides 4 hours a day, most likely from 2 to 6 PM so I won't be home to view the tank with them on most of the week so I need the T5's to produce a pleasing light/coloration of of the fish and plants when I am home to enjoy the tank in the evenings.
Tank is 24" tall and can be seen here: http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showthread.php?t=72954
Any tips or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Sean

I have that one with Geissman bulbs. It actually has provided me with great lighting but I only paid like 89 shipped for it. and another 100 bucks for good bulbs. At that price I would save a little more and get a good fixture with individual reflectors. This has reflectors for each pair of bulbs. But it works very well IMO.

I wouldnt go with a Corallife fixture, I personally would get the one from fish need it before the coral life one. Coral life is basic quality stuff from what I have learned. Little more but more watts for the money. Now here is what I would get if I was to buy T5HO's again. I did a lot of research after I bought my fixture and from what people from several different forums have said Catalina T5hos are the best bang for your buck. Heres a link:

I did some high and low searching about a year ago on T5 fixtures. Summed up: You get what you pay for.

Thanks for the input guys. I decided to pay a bit extra and get this fixture:

After many hours searching, it appeared to be the best bang for the buck in terms of price and quality.
