I made some changes to my tank to be more suitable for breeding. One of the main things was going bare bottom. After the changes, my breeding pair laid eggs in a different position to where they usually lay their eggs. They laid eggs on the heater. What are the problems of laying eggs on a heater? If this batch of eggs is not successful, is there something I should do so that next time they lay eggs they lay them somewhere else?

Lay the heater flat on the bottom of the tank and provide them with a cone or up-turned clay flower pot. In the meantime, you could unplug this heater and add another, but watch the temp. Good luck, and congrats!
