This definitely a shock, Dan has had some of the most amazing discus for as long as I can remember! Definitely hope he keeps some discus for personal keeping.

Hope everything is well Dan!

I'm really sorry to hear that Dan is selling his business. I'm not sure of who I am going to to recommend people to go to for wilds and Dan always had excellent home growns. This is really sad news :(

I am so sorry, Dan. Hope all goes well for you and someone great buys Gulf Coast very soon. Please stick with us on SD if you will. You have been wonderful to do business with and the quality of standard of your discus have been terrific. Your artistry in aquascaping and keeping planted tanks has inspired alot of folks, including me. KEEP PAINTING!!!

Dan stated personal reasons, but hope it wasn't because the business wasn't making money. But $30K seems pretty cheap for a facility like that.

Hey Nacra thanks for posting on here didnt know you were on this board as well. It is definately a sad day in Houston. He had the best discus around. I stocked up on some great RSG and Tefe last week. I know he isnt shutting down for business reasons. I wish him the best and hopefully he gets back in soon.

i agree. if someone actually chose to sell everything in that facility they could make a lot of money back from the initial 30k investment. not saying that's what i want but i'm trying to show that it's a very low price for such a great facility.

Hi Darbex! Nice to see you here too.

Yeah apparently my profile tells me i have been a member here since 2004. I got out of discus after hurricane Katrina when i moved to Houston.

Looks like i'm back into it again. I guess now i'll have to start posting again...hah
