this has probably been done a bunch of times already, but I thought it would be really cool to make a list of every discus you currently own. I think it'd be a cool way to see how much of/ what everyone is workin with these days. I know some of you probably cant recall all of them off the top of your head, but give it your best shot!;):D

Im gonna kick it off right now, I think strain name and size would be cool, you can add who they came from if you'd like!:)

all came from Kenny except the 2 red melons and all are about 4.5 SL

Simple for me...

4X Blue Diamonds..2 are 7.5-8 inches (head to tail end) inches and spawning, and 2 are 6 inches (head to tail end) and growing.mike:)

All my fish measured are TL

I bought all my fish at 2.5 inch the BD's BB and BLSS came from Rocky Mountain Discus bought in May the RST's came from Great Lakes Discus and I bought them in June and they are catching up to the other very quickly.

These are all my Discus that I have for now, I had Red Turks, Cobalts, and Red and Blue Snakes that I had raised to adults (6 to 7 inch) but I lost those this year back in FEB as we had a Ice Storm here in MO and was without power for over a Month I was in the process of finishing my move here from TN at the time we had just built our new home, i had got the tanks setup and Discus moved into them just a week before. I was at the old house packing up the last of our stuff when the ice storm came and was not able to get home till three day after the storm due to ice covered roads and by that time my tanks were all frozen and my Discus and Angelfish all dead so i am starting over again. :( that sucks but thats life i guess.

I've always had a fishroom, I just had to sell off most everything for awhile due to life and other commitments. But now I'm jumping back into it I guess. :D

I wish I could get some decent breeding going on. My one promising pair, the BD/Blue Snakeskin pair haven't spawned since I moved them from the community tank to their own suite. I guess they aren't in love anymore. :(

The other pair, the Leopard/Alenquer lay regularly the male just hasn't figured out the whole fertilization thing quite yet. Of course....I don't necessarily want the spawn from that pair. :)

But just wait until all these new guys grow up, by then I'll have the breeding thing figured out and be in business! :D

I don't do measurements any more since 9 times out 10 most people haven't actually pulled their fish and measured them with a ruler. :D

You can easily tell in most pictures how big the fish, and most of the time, it ain't close. ;)

I did measure... I did not before joining this site and I did it because how everyone said the "eyeball" measurements tend to be over-exaggerated. And I found I was most definitely overestimating my fish. My biggest I thought was 7-8" and its only 6.5"

BTW - This is a GREAT site and a GREAT community!
