Today I went to a wonderful lfs in Plymouth, NC. Just a fantastic place. Best I have ever been to. I bought a lot of live plants and one of them is a "Moss Ball". Anybody hear of this before? I have no idea how much light it needs or where/how to place it in my tank. Info please?
Barb :)

Not new just unusual also known as cladophora aegagropila, Marimo Ball,or Japanese mossball, real ones are not moss but are actually algae balls, fake ones are styrofoam balls wrapped in moss, they are slow growing, have medium light needs. Place up front in the tank, do not bury, often moves around by itself due to its light weight, some will rise and sink in the water due to their lighting needs. Beautiful and easy to care for. I have 2

Thank you Capt. M. I really like this "plant" and it is so very unusual. I hope it will live a long time in my tank of tetras. Appreciate your info.
