Ok, I realize that a dark substrate for PB's is bad juju...
what about wilds? I have a planted 75g that i have some wild scalare in which i realize i would have to sell to make space for the discus but i have black eco complete/flourite substrate in it, would this cause stress or discoloration to some wild greens/blues? or would they just care less?

The fish will stay dark and you will not enjoy them as much. Since you had fish in there already, I'd break that tank down completely anyways for sterlization and then add sand instead.

The fishes color will be lighter with a light background/substrate and darker with dark background/substrate. This is thier natural camoflage. Don T.
