hey, i had remembered seeing someone buy i believe it was the manzanita wood in bundles of 12 for around 40 dollars... anyone know where it was, or anyone know of any affordable sites for the wood?

The people at that site are GREAT! I received beautiful pieces. A friend and I planned on splitting one order and I told them that she needed pieces a bit taller than I did because her tank is higher. Well, they sent us 22 pieces, shorter and taller, for the price of one order of 12!

i have also ordered from them; you get a lot for your money. the pieces have A LOT of tannins and so have to be soaked for a couple of weeks before using in the tank.

they also have some tree stump pieces which they do not list on their website; if you call them, they will send you pictures.

i third it. i sell manzanita wood here. from the same people but through a canadian distributor. i get alot of very cool stumps.

WOW I'm jealous. I spent a day driving up and down the coast hoping to see a sight like that. I found absolutely no driftwood worth collecting.

Just a comment on collecting driftwood- there are species of wildlife that depend on driftwood in their habitat for protection, etc. I can't support collecting it in good conscience.

Ie five-lined skinks here in Canada.

Don't want to offend anyone, just had to put it out there.
