When your fish have fry free swimming and eating off them?

Not that I have much experience but I left mine on. This way the pair kind of corrals the fry and I am assuming for the fry to see the parents. Difficult in my situation as mine are Albinos.

Leave a small night light on 24/7 from eggs to the time fry are on the parents...once you remove them you can turn off the light.

Absolutely some sort of light on 24/7 at least from wriggler stage on...I speak from experience. :(

Thats what I have always read. If I have a pair about to spawn, I keep a dim light on the tank 24/7.

The weirdest thing though, with my Albino pair, there was no lights on at all and they did everything right, even up until free swimming. Maybe they can see in the dark. :o

Hmm, yeah i just always thought it was from time of wrigglers. Maybe I'll give that a shot. My new pair is on spawn 6 and still trying.

Practice makes perfect I guess. Wishing you the best of luck with them!

Take care,
