Wonder Shells?!

For all you water chem buffs out there, have you ever heard of these?

I have always had a problem with my KH in my tank. In my mixing barrels it is at 4, but once it is in the aquarium it quickly drops down to below 3, which makes me uncomfortable so I always do at least a 60% WC every other day.

This seems like it could help my situation, right?

At this point I am selling my fish so I won' t need it, but still wonder if stuff could be good, or one of those "snake oil" products.
