Prime is perfect for water conditioning, one cap does 50 gal. Very good product, nothing else needed really unless you are tampering with buffers or PH.

Stress zyme is an "add-on" for Stress Coat that supposedly helps the bio-function. A waste of money if you ask me. However, Seachem makes a nice bio boost product called Stability which doesn't instant cycle a tank, but does seem to help with cycling and helps keep the bio-filter stable. But, with all the w/c's we do seems a bit useless unless being used in a newly cycled tank.

Oooooooh. No wonder why they try to sell coat and zyme together. These companies really get ya! I'll be sure to use Prime..probably from ken, Thanks.

For now, should I only use amquel? Or amquel and zyme?

I've used Prime and nothing else since my return to discus keeping. I can't make any comparisons, but Prime is an excellent product that I'd recommend to any fishkeeper.

The 2 liter bottles are convenient and fairly economical. The pond prime and regular prime are the same product, but the pond prime directions call for a half dose as compared to aquarium prime. That's because ponds are a different environment, with UV sunshine and lots of surface area to help dissipate residual chlorine. For my tanks, I use 1 tsp/ 50gals, the standard aquarium dose. Works great.

Tough to beat the price and service from Ken- that's where my next bottle will come from. It's only smart to support our sponsors...

Edit- Just keep using what you have until it's gone. Wouldn't hurt to use stress-zyme across the transition to prime, reducing the dose w/ each water change until you're not using it any more. Gradual change is good...
