Juvenile or adult?

Juvenile----ALOT

Adult----15 max but the tall tank may not provide good area for them, so probably a dozen or so.

I have 7 discus that range in size from 4.5" to the largest at 7" and would like to add 4 subadults 3.5" - 4"

Thats not a problem at all, they'll have plenty space.

The 150g xtra tall has only 48" lenght wise and 24" in width so for me, aesthethically speaking only, no more than 12, prob around 8 if other fish will be added and if they are adults.

The tank can def hold more discus though. As a discus only tank, not as a display and BB with daily water changes I'd take it at least to 15.

Sounds good just keep up with the water changes so that the subadults don't end up stunted.

What are the dimensions for a 150 tall? I ask because my adult fish seem to lay out their territories horizontally, claiming whatever vertical space there is for a given patch of tank bottom... that's particularly true for pairs. It may be different in very deep tanks, but that's how it is in 2' of water...
