Fungus - Saprolegniasis - Quick Cure

I read in the dieseas section and appears my discus came down with this type of fungus over a small wound on his head. Currently, I am treating with Quick Cure (formalin & malachite green) for two days now. I was wondering is it safe to use quick cure with salt?

You dont need to use salt with QC. ;)

I've read that malachite green and salt work against each other, but cant find the source online at the moment. :o
