Hey all,

Does anyone have a link to a good pictorial guide of what wild discus look like? I can tell an RSG from a Blue from a Heckel but I can't tell the difference between locality types, ie Nhamunda from Santarem. With so many wild fish being designated by their collection/locality these days I'm totally confused by what I'm looking at or what people are talking about here on the forums.

Thanks in advance,
Phil

Hey! You stole my link!

Just kidding, of course...

Nice to see you posting, helping people out, Rob.

Naming of wild fish is an iffy proposition... fishermen, wholesalers, importers and everybody else have a tendency to attach whatever hot name du jour they can to whatever fish they're offering...

Rob's link, above, can help, but it's just a guide, and certainly isn't all inclusive. Pelle posted some pics of some unusual wild greens in this thread, for example-
