Is a 40 breeder good?

Hey guys,

I just have a quick question. I have had my blue knights for just over three months now. I pulled the second biggest one two days ago, and it is 4 1/4" TL. I am curious though, is my 40 breeder good to grow out 5 fish, or will I need to upgrade them to a bigger tank? I feed 6 times a day and a 100% w/c 6-7 times a week.

It's a good size to keep 6 disscus since it actually more than 40 gallons....36x18x17= 47.69.....beacuse of it's width you could add more discus....to me the width is more important than height.

Thanks. They will eventually be moved to the adult 90g tank, but I just wanted to make sure it was fine for them to finish growing out in.
