My 30 gallon Planted Tank

Here are a few pics of my 30 gallon tank from a few months ago. I tried to post them with my 100 gallon tank, but the file was too large? So here's a new thread.

Sorry. I had a few more shots of this tank but the file is too large even with resizing to small. I'm not sure what the problem is.

Must say I wish my planted tank looked like that LOL. Do you use CO2 injection? I have been thinking of doing it myself but the beginning cost is a lot for a 120gal tank LOL... but in the end I have spent a lot on flourish excel. But anyways gorgeous tank... just needs some discus ;)

Yes it gets CO2 injection at 1 bubble/second. I also dose with a little Flourish Excel once a week to help keep alga down. I dose with Kent Fe/K once a week also.

It's a little small for discus. They're in my 100 gallon tank.

Beautiful tank, Steve- very nicely done. I agree, it's a little small for discus- but a school of Cardinal/Neon Tetras, or Threadfin Rainbowfish would look just stunning in that tank.

Thanks Colin. Actually, there is a school of about 12 neons in this tank. They just don't show up well in these pics.

Looks good, Steve! I recently picked up a 30 gallon tank and set up an aquascape also. I'll post some picks soon. I haven't because this is a "discus" site, but hey, why not? I also have a larger, non-planted discus tank.

I've put in 4 oto cats in the 30 g, and also a clown loach to try to get all the snails that came with the plants. I'm putting in an order for about 18 amano shrimp, and will put in my cardinal tetras after the shrimp get acclimated.

What fish do you have in your aquascape? -Don

Thanks Don, I've got about a dozen neons and a couple of corys. I don't like to clutter up my aquascape with too many fish. It distracts from the composition of the aquascape. Just a few tetras and some cherry shrimp.
