is it ok to put a goldie pleco in a discus tank i have a 125 gallon tank with 10 discus thanks

They normally dont have any problems... I just wouldnt have the temp to high for them. I have a friend with a gold nugget pleco in a discus ank and no problems at all. I just dont like how big they get LOL.

I've had mine in the tank for about 2 months now with no issues. i've actually seen it more in the past 2 months than i ever have in my other tanks. temp is 83°

As you can see from my signature I have one with my discus. I keep my tank at 82 F but gold nuggets should be able to go a little higher than that. He has been in there for 8 months well and has adapted well. They don't grow fast but should live a long time. He hides most of the time but as soon as I put flakes in he starts scavenging from the bottom He has just two speeds - stand still and spastically fast. Certainly the fastest fish in my tank.

Do you know the L number? Mine is L018.

I have a goldie and a gold nugget in mine at 88 f - over 6 months - no problems with the heat at all - Steve

I've had mine w/ discus for over 2 years now - I keep the temp @ 84-85. He likes to hang out on one piece of driftwood except for feeding time. No issues from what I've seen.

gold nugget = best discus mate EVER saves me a lot cleaning time
