Question about fry and father

The fry are doing great. But the male is looking and acting like crap. Barely eating and really skiddish. Color is dull. I'm going to remove the fry today. It's been like 2 week.

It's not unusual for a parent with fry on their sides tolook dark and go off their food. He'll probably perk right up when you seperate him and the fry.
Are you going to remove him from the breeder tank or put fry in a new tank?
