Hi everyone, I want to try to move away from tetra bits for some of my fish becuase of the coloring additives. Does anyone have any suggestions on similarly accepted pellets?

My fish all eat tetra bits and various frozen (mysis, beefheart, brine, blood worms, spirulina with brine) and flake (including Ken's and Prime Reef) foods. I am looking for suggestions on non color added pellets that will sink.

I have tried the hikari bits, and they were not readily taken.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You can try these: http://www.angelsplus.com/PelletStarter.htm in the 1.5mm size. I just started to feed to my fish and they love them.

Anthony,
By non-color additive do mean no dyes or pigments? Tetrabits does add an artificial dye...but there isn't a food out there that does not have a color additives in the form of naturally occuring pigments ..These pigments are found in ingredients like krill, spirulina, vegetables etc.

If you are okay with naturally occuring pigments...try Ocean nutrition formula one pellets and New life spectrum pellets...I use the 1 mm size ( small).May take a bit of time to get them used to them...but I really like these for a pellet.

thanks, guys. I will try some angels plus pellets or the ON1 or NLS. Saw some good stuff about the angel's plus 1.5 pellets on Eddie's cleanest pellet thread. appreciate the insight!

Thx,
