How old/size on average are discus when they reach breeding maturity?

Size would be an inaccurate way to gauge breeding maturity as some fish can be small (stunted) and still breed just fine and on the other spectrum, some fish could be very large and not be of breeding age.

On average, 9-15 months of age but there are some strains/types that can take longer to mature. Some people report Blue Diamonds take longer to become mature, about 24 months. ;)
