Could someone please explain to me how to put an icon were I want it in a post. Everytime I click on an icon it is placed in my title box and I can't move. Also, how do I create my avatar?

I think if you post the smilies from the right of the text box, rather than below, they should appear with your text. I hope that's what you meant. Looks like you figured out the avatar. :)
