What do you think of this lighting

I have a 75g show tank with orange,red,and blue strains. My current lighting is a32W single strip. It does a good job on the oranges, but tends to darken or wash out the blues and reds.

I am thinking of changing to a double strip light 2/28W T-5. 1 10K white, 1 actinic.

What do you guys think?

PS: plants are not an issue, budget is.

It sounds like you are looking at the 4' Coralife NO T5. The actinic bulb will drown out the reds a bit. Might wanna swap out the actinic for the colormax bulb. The 10,000k + a colormax will be a good combo if you'll be having blues and reds to show.

BTW, this will pretty much be only enough light to show the discus I assume you know this by your PS

You are correct on the model, and I think you are right about swapping the bulb.

I do have a very lightly planted tank with anubias and java fern mixed in with some taller silk plants. They have done very well in a 32w tank for over two months now, perfect low light plants.
