I am new to this site but not new to the hobby. been in the fish hobby for a few years but just recently decided to get away from the monster cichlids and do a planted discus tank. i put a few pics in my album and will ad more later.
anyway, about me. i am 28, married guy with 2 kids, 4 dogs(3boxers and 1 great dane), 3 sugar gliders, had a bearded dragon until the wife rehomed it(she was hers anyways). both my kids have hamsters and 2.5gal aquariums in there rooms. my son just upgraded his tank to a fluval edge and is doing live plants in it. have downsized to 3 tanks, 70 gal peacock tank, 120 gal planted discus tank, and the 55 was turned into a grow out tank for my 6 blue snakeskin discus, they are all 1in long. love the fish hobby and spend plenty of time and money on it. put my car restorations aside to concentrate on the fish. i am into anything that will keep me busy, have nitro rc cars, mini bikes, other things to play with. i am into nascar pretty heavily. also like doing DIY stuff, just to see if it works. i wanted to be part of a forum that concentrated more on discus since i have only been doing them for about 3months now but also so i can get information when i need to without having to google it all the time and wonder if it were true.
