New tank info

Hi all
I have just finished making a new tank so i can fit more discus in (yaeh), it is 400 ltr's and I think my mext stage should be to start to fill the tank with water from my 330 ltr tank ??? The hew filter is an Ehiam Pro, should i set this up and have it working in the 330 ltr tank as well as the existing Ehiam Classic and after a couple of weeks change it over to the 400 ltr or have the Pro working in the 400 ltr whilst filling from the 330 ltr ???

Your filter, glass walls, and substrate is where the beneficial bacterial colonial will form...not so much in the water column, so transferring water will not do much of anything.

Your best bet would be to add the new filter to the existing tank and let it run for a few weeks. More like three or so.

Using this method above always runs the risk of transferring harmful elements as well from the history of the donor tank. You may want to consider using the fishless cycle starting over in the new tank.
