I seen on Hikari's website they have a new frozen food made just for discus. Has anyone tried it yet and did there fish like it?

Make your own mix, much cheaper and better. Plus your fish will love you for it!

It's been out for a couple years now. It's not worth buying. Do a search on this forum, and you'll find many people, including myself, saying that fish won't eat it.

I tried it and my Discus just pick out the few Blood Worms in the cube and just leave the rest.

Ive never really had any luck with any "for discus" foods. Ive tried several brands, but they never like it. Homeade stuff is much better, and its really not that hard to make.

Some of my discus will eat it all (bloodworms,Mysis shrimp and brine shrimp) but some will not touch the brine shrimp. Don T.

I had seen this Hikari Frozen Discus food at the LFS and purchased it for my discus tank...but, I have to say that this food was COMPLETELY USELESS for my discus since they wouldn't touch it at all, or at least the mysis shrimp part of it...they did eat the bloodworm though! I ended up feeding it all to my angelfish and other fish in my community tank...at least they got a somewhat rich diet for about a month, for as long as this crap Hikari Frozen Discus food lasted! :p
