Is it from nose to tail on measurement? And yes i didnt spell measure correctly in the topic....i need to go back to school lol.

Lot of books you read use a standard length (SL) measurement which is from the nose to base of tail. Seems that everyone on this site and probably most other places uses the total length (TL) measurement which is from the nose to the tip of the tail.
