How much light to use

I have a 50g breeders tank 36" Im using 2 t5 bulbs with a current light. My tank is plain, heater, 2 sponge filters, 6 discus 5" what t5 bulb would you use?

If you don't have plants I would use a standard strip flouresent light fixture instead of T5s.

Colormax bulbs, probably just keep one bulb going instead of 2.

The light is for you to see the discus, they can do without it. On similar sized tanks I have 10watt strip lights (T4's).

2 x T5's is overkill.
