Hi all,
Its been brought to my attention that those of you that ship livestock by airplane may need to re-new your " Known Shipper status " due to security regulations. They will not tell you ahead of time...you may find out when you actually are at the airport trying to ship a cargo out.
I know of at least one case so far where both South west and Delta have done this to the same shipper at the same time..
This re-certification requires inspection of your facility again according to what I have been told.
Again...Regulations may have changed at the airports..talk to your reps and verify things at your airport.
I'm passing this along as I would hate for a shipment going out to someone to have issues unexpectedly.
If anyone can confirm this info here, please do so.
Thanks,
al
