Due to space/weight constraints (tank will be on the 2nd floor) I can either have 1x 75 gallon or 2x 40 gal breeders, ( one top of the other) for grow out tanks. Which would be the best to get for grow out purposes?

I would take the 1 75 for sure. The fish will soon outgrow the 40s.

no doubt the 75gal! You can always fill it halfway in the begining if you are concerned with to much water volume for medicating or what have you, but the 75gal is much more usefull than two breeders.

Good luck!

i went with a 75 and poret to divide it, this way I can breed and once they need it I can remove the divider and grow out.....dual purpose is always better than single purpose :-)
