marsilea quadrifolia

for those of you that have a planted tanks, have any of you tried marsilea quadrifolia for the carpet? What do you use instead if anything..:)

tried it never did much in my tank got covered in beard algae and pretty much disappeared.

I have m. minuta carpeting my entire 72 gal tank foreground. Gorgeous stuff, and I believe submersed looks very similar to quadrifolia?

I use to have some in my old 240 planted tank. I must have done something wrong, because it slowly died out. Looked cool while it was living though.
