It was sold to me as 50gal this is the dimensions 36X18X19. But the dimensions of my tank is 48X15X17 so how many gallons is this tank? :confused:

It is just a 50G long, still a 50G though.

(36" x 18" x 19")/231=53.3 gallons

(48" x 15" x 17")/231=53 gallons

You'll get a bunch of hits that will take you to web pages that will do the calculation for you.

The tank needs to be measured using the inside dimensions. Most manufacturers quote tank volume sizes using the outside measurements. A "50 gallon" tank does not hold 50 gallons of water.
