I know this isn't about a discus but I love angels too and I just wanted opinions on my angel's unique trait.

This is Edward scissor fin a Philippine blue platinum. I personally like the split in his dorsal fin, makes him look unique but I'm worried I may not like it when he is an adult as he will most likely be in my show tank. What do you guys think? Yay or nay?

Opinions anyone? Does this look good to anybody else or no.

If you want it to look normal when adult, cut the fin now....just be sure to cut ONLY the fin, none of the harder rays (those take much longer to grow back).

Some people see unique, but when I look at the fish I see signs of fin damage. I'm with Ryan, and like he said, don't cut the hard rays.

Now you mention it, I do see a little resemblance to Johnny Depp.
