View Full Version : Discus-friendly background with insulation

I was wondering if someone knows about discus-friendly background (paper, plastic or anything) that insulates the tank heat as well.

I googled for few minutes but couldn't find any info.:(

Just paint the back, and add some insulation behind. I doubt insulating one side will make a huge difference.

A material which could work for both background color and insulation is the Styrofoam boards that home improvement places sale for under concrete slab insulation. The color on my sheets of Styrofoam is light blue and they come in width from .5 to 3 inches, its made by DuPont I believe. The stuff can sometimes be hard to find, but worth it in its insulating abilities.
