Need help stocking my new 100 gallon aquarium.

On the moment i have the following fish in the aquarium.
-5 Discus (still small)
-6 Neon Rainbow fish
-2 Cory Cats

I want to add more fish, but not sure what, and how many.

Well definitely add more cories. They like to be in larger numbers. With a 100 you could easily do 10 or more. You could also do a school of something like rummynose tetras or harlequin rasboras.

If it were my tank I would add 5 more small discus after having them in QT for a month or so. Discus do well in larger groups than just 5 and one can't have too many discus if you have the room for them! One discus per 10 gal. is a good rule to follow and you have it.

yes, i want more Discus, but the money is the problem. Over here they are very expensive.

Some people keep angelfish and discus together successfully. And angels are much cheaper to buy. They must both be very healthy, no parasite issues especially and must be quarantined separately for awhile to make sure all are healthy. With really good water quality it is possible.

Hey q89 ... Have you been on the Sa site... Try tasa or apsa both have local Suppliers and at a push they may do counter to counter from Sa... Just ask around... Good luck.... Else my sister may bring some up for you when she travels up from cape town, which she does regularly... Gonna have to make mates with her... She's in swakop too....small world

If this is a planted tank I would add more cory cats and a pleco or two. If its bare bottom, more discus.
