It doesn't explain the crosses, though. That sort of information usually isn't shared, unfortunately.

Well, it does say:

"Blue Sapphires are in fact among the highest grade blue diamonds"

So I think one can conclude that they are the result of some selective breedings of high grade blue diamonds. As far as whose blue diamonds, I think that's the KFC secret recipe. :D:D:D
